Client Background
Fastnet is an internet service provider for businesses who set themselves apart from their competition by offering long term quality of service. They provide services such as web-hosting, ultra-fast broadband, online security solutions and VOIP solutions.
They have twice been named the 'best ISP for small businesses' by the Internet Service Providers Association and twice ranked in the Sunday Times Tech Track League.
The brief: To create a contemporary yet professional working environment
Budget: £25 - £50K
Space: 2,500 sq ft
Timescale: 12 weeks from initial meeting to installation + ongoing requirements
How we approached the project
Fastnet had briefed us that they wanted to create a modern and engaging office space but with an emphasis on quality products. We chose the Core benching system, from Senator, to create a flexible workspace. Adjustable monitor arms were installed along the benching system’s tool rail, to create space on the work desk and allow for easy height adjustment of the monitors.
For the seating the Joy Task Chair was chosen with its adjustable and attractive mesh back, not only did it meet the Fastnet’s ergonomic requirements, it provided aesthetically pleasing chairs to match the new surroundings.
The boardroom has a more traditional feel with black leather and chrome Tokyo chairs and an American Walnut 'Apollo' boardroom table with data, power and a HDMI connection.
The reception area used a set of three complimentary tub chairs Tom, Dick & Harry, and a circular Kruze coffee table. The soft seating in the Director's office came in the shape of Layla 2 seater sofa. Transparent Loop chairs were used in the breakout area, continuing the open theme of the entire workspace.

What does the client think?
We really liked the way Posture People approached the project, their flexibility made it very easy. They organised a day of appointments for us at their manufacturers showrooms, which allowed us to see exactly what products looked like rather than just seeing images in a brochure. Also the follow up service where they came on site after the installation and set up everyone’s chairs was great. It meant that everyone got the best out of their new chair, and knew how to adjust it.
