Posture Advice

Advice on workstation ergonomics, maintaining good posture and back care in the workplace.

Posture People are passionate in creating better places for people to work in and helping to improve back care. By supplying the best in ergonomic seating and ergonomic office furniture we can improve your workstation ergonomics.

We are often asked 'how can I improve my bad posture?' Posture can be improved by looking at your workstation set up. Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Is my chair at the right height? If you are not sure what is the perfect height, download our guide to improving your workstation from the left hand menu.
  • Are my arms at a comfortable right angle to my desk?
  • Are my eyes levels with the toolbar on windows?
  • Is my keyboard to far away causing me to stretch towards it?

If you would like to know more about how to create better workstation ergonomics and how to improve your posture at work, please see our guide on how to improve your workstation, which can be downloaded from the left hand menu.

One of the best ways of developing good posture at work is to ensure that you have a forward tilt on your chair. If your office chair can't be tilted slightly forward, invest in a lumbar support wedge. This will tilt your pelvis slightly forward making it easier to maintain the curve in your lower spine.

All of our consultants are trained in how to set up a good workstation, so please call us on 01273 685 125 or email us at enquiries@posturepeople.co.uk for advice on how to improve your posture at work.

We also have a large range of great stylish office products including ergonomic furniture and ergonomic seating to help correct bad posture.
