The Sway is an eye-grabbing new stool, with a twist, or rather a sway.

The stool has a simple, clean and very attractive design. It also has a few simple but brilliant design features that set it apart from stools like it. The top of the black stem houses a simple release mechanism for the chrome pole allowing the stool to be extended from 665mm to 915mm.

The key design feature however is its base that allows the stool to sway on the spot. When it isn't being used the stool stands perfectly upright, but as soon as it is sat on the flexible base becomes non-static.

A stool that doesn't stay perfectly still is more useful than you may first think. We are always being told to keep good posture, and to look after our spine, as well as not to stay sitting around all day. This is because sitting often promotes bad posture which puts pressure on parts of our bodies that aren't used to it and this leads to problems down the line.

The Sway stool supports your body weight whilst forcing your body to automatically arch your spine and and share the load between your back and leg muscles.

The Sway is great for a dizzying range of uses, from receptions, to waiting areas, to bars, to meeting rooms, even goes perfectly as a periodical relief in a standing desk set up.

Coming in at a barely noticeable 3kg, and with a small frame, the Sway is also extremely easy to tidy away, under desks, or tables.
